Inner Wisdom, Intuition

Inner Wisdom, Intuition

A few years ago I had to take my son to the orthodontist. It was during school hours as they needed plenty of time to create a mouthpiece. During the visit we were waiting for him to be called. During that time, I get an automated call from the school announcing an unexcused absence. They call my son into the dentist room, but I got annoyed because the school already knew he wasn’t there. For the most part I deal with things like this upon my return home. Something told me persistently to call the school. I was called to the front desk to pay the bill and I told the assistant to give me a few minutes. I decided to call the school. I was done leaving a message to the school’s attendance office and as I stand up to walk over to the reception desk, the entire ceiling tiles, wires, metal frame and lights fell right on the spot I was called to go. It looked like a war zone. A few seconds earlier and I would have been badly injured and probably unconscious. Everyone inside patients and dentists came out to the lobby to see what happened and everyone was in shocked.

We can call this a miracle, or intuition, the internal voice. It is real, and it develops when we are more connected to our own subconscious mind. Our alert system will find a way to turn us around. Maybe a little help from our guardian angels and spirit guides and we are possibly connected to hear the call at the most asserted time.

The medical assistant was so grateful that I did not get hurt that she gave me a hug. Life is a mystery worth observing from within, trusting our innate ability to discern who is disingenuous and who is a true friend. Of course, we make mistakes but we do learn from these and we can forgive our judgement miscalls. Experiences with others are a great way to fine tune the inner or higher self.

It has been a few years since my husband passed away. I’m still saddened by this event. I remembered two days before he died I found myself very emotional and I was crying uncontrollably and did not know why. That same night I had a dream. In it my husband walked out of dark hallway, looked at me with eyes wide opened and without saying a word he disappeared in front of my eyes. I woke up and did not really gave it any importance. I was getting a message but couldn’t associate or relate to it. Some of our dreams are messages and warnings from our spiritual realm. Unfortunately, we are anchored to the physical reality in the present and our egos don’t allow us to see with clarity the meaning of these subtle messages.

Now more than ever, I’m paying attention to my inner voice and when I look around me I see and understand things and people in a slightly different way than I used to. We dismiss the value of really paying deeper attention to the behaviors of others and during these times of violent shootings it is of outmost importance that we fine-tune these skills.

We are coming into the age of spirituality. Where we need to value that we are more than the physical person. That it is crucial to understand we are spiritual beings and it may take precedent to dogmatic religion. There is a lot of turmoil and greed including those "big" churches that have a lot of real estate investments and airplanes and most are so out of touch with humanity and its needs. We must turn to our inner wisdom to discern what the purpose of our life is. Why are we here on earth? How can we contribute in times where people have polarized ideological and political agendas, greed over justice and so much more. We need to seek alternate solutions to serve higher purpose by empowering people to help themselves and others. We need to reflect that when we demonstrate and react with peace and control over our emotions we can certainly be agents of change in a society fully confused about what is true or not. Or how society welcomes and values violence, fear and is disengaged from others that maybe different to them. Also a society that seems to forget the value of respecting earth and the environment that is extremely vital to our very own health and existence. In a world that people love and idolizes "influencers" over matter experts, researchers. Where people place billionaires and celebrities that do not help society on cover of magazines over people with visions to improve our society who really are game changers. This world needs people who rally for social change through peace, not war. We need people who believe in fair and balance justice. That we can help all those in disadvantage not through blame but through encouragement, and real help.

To mind comes this real life story of Market Basket Employees in Massachusetts got together to save their current CEO Arthur Demoulas who was expelled as chairman by his own cousin. Again, this is an example of greed. Lack of care for the people that brought the company such wealth and success. All Employees walked out of their jobs without fear of being fired in protest of this change. No one has ever done this to save their CEO. But it really speaks volumes of the kind of human being he was to his employees. A whole month of protest and even the store shelves went empty. The nearby competing stores cashed in from this situation. But employees never returned to work until Arthur DeMoulas was brought back as CEO. Best example that when you truly believe in something for the greater good you find peaceful ways to fight for it. Thanks to their inner wisdom and intuition they were able to collectively create the change they wanted to see.

Remember, this goes in the same measure to everything in life. We can create change for the common good, if we listen to our inner wisdom and raise our level of consciousness to a more loving and enlightened world by doing the right thing. If we don’t do this or at least try, we may end up sabotaging our own humanity. It is never the easiest path. It takes courage and a lot of self-control to face all the wrongs of the world. Finding solutions instead of blame. Our time to seat by sideline as spectators and let bad things unfold is over. We all have it in ourselves. Let’s do our part and contribute in big or small ways as a collective to help create the change that we need for the sake of future generations.
